James trained over the summer with Harlequins EPDG and was the only U16 selected for the pre-season game for Quins u18 against Gloucester. He then played in the Bristol 15 a side tournament for Quins U16's and played against Exeter and Wasps scoring a try in each game.
James was then selected in the squad for Quins' first u18 Aviva Premiership match of the season v Saracens at Allianz Park. He came off the bench in the second half to make his debut against a strong Saracens side.
James was selected for the Surrey u16 squad and scored 2 tries against Sussex in a 45-22 win and then went on to play against Middlesex where Surrey won 39-0.
James was invited to attend the London & South East Divisional trial in mid December in Hertforshire. He obviously impressed them, as he has been selected to play in the divisional festival against teams the South West, Midlands and North. From these 4 teams, players will be selected to represent England U16 and England Saxons U16!
He continues to represent our U16 as well as playing for Halliford School when he can.
We wish James all the best.
Congratulation to Stuart and Kate too - proud parents!
