Sunday Rugby Working Party

Sunday Rugby Working Party

Stuart Howkins

The aim is to clean, clear and prepare the club and pitches for the new season.

We need as many volunteers as possible to give a couple of hours from 12 noon onwards on Sunday 6 September. The aim is to clean, clear and prepare the club and pitches for the new season.

Jobs include:
* Assist with the breakdown and clearing up after the Ball Night
* Jet wash the changing rooms and showers
* Jet wash the porch area
* Jet wash the tackle mats and any other suitable areas
* Put up the safeguarding board in the corridor
* Put out all post protectors
* Put protective barriers around the first-team pitch
* Move the wheelie bins to the far pitches
* Search the bushes for rugby balls
* Clear Changing Room 3
* Clean and tidy the gym
* Clear and safely burn the bonfire pile, subject to approval and suitable conditions
* Complete any other cleaning or maintenance jobs identified on the day

Equipment needed:
* Spades
* Garden forks
* Wheelbarrows
* Trimmers
* Chainsaws and the correct safety equipment
* Pressure washers
* Any other useful gardening, cleaning or maintenance tools

Please bring any suitable equipment you can provide. You will also need work gloves, appropriate PPE and sturdy footwear. For our South African members, the flip-flops are strictly for after the work is finished!

This request is for everyone, from ALL SECTIONS and SENIOR PLAYERS, coaches, members and supporters. It is also a good opportunity to work off the hangover from the Ball Night!
Please give us a couple of hours and help get the club ready for the season ahead.
Let Kevin know if you can attend and what equipment you may be able to bring.
Thank you for your support.

Mark Baxter
Rugby Chairman
Weybridge Vandals RFC
