Pickle Ball set for official launch on Desborough Island

MUGA courts to welcome new sport to Weybridge Vandals

The fastest growing sport in the United States will officially arrive on Desborough Island next month.

The recently opened MUGA courts have already hosted matchdays and training nights for the netball section, and Pickle Ball will now follow suit in November.

The club is currently working in the background on a court booking and payment system - as well as a court gate code system - in order to welcome pickle ball players to the club between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

"As a club we continually need to find ways to increase revenue and profitability particularly when the club is at its quietest," explained president Kevin Keaney in his latest club update.

"Thanks to our new MUGA courts - which have eight Pickle Ball courts - this is an opportunity to do just that."

The club will be launching Pickle Ball at Vandals with a friendly and fun inter club tournament under the floodlights on Friday November 6.

Details will be available shortly, but in the meantime save the date in your diary.
