Despite it being Valentine’s Day we had an amazing 160 guests attend this very special lunch. I’m very proud to say that the lunch was a great success and that we raised £10.7k on the day for the two charities. £5.2k of this came from the auction of the very special “Ethan” rugby shirt that we had made for the day and was presented to each player personally by Mark Baxter in the gym prior to the game.

The rest of the money raised came from the extra £10 everyone attending the lunch paid for their lunch ticket and from the raffle and the auction we held at the lunch. I’m very grateful to the amazing Kate Gulliver who took the lead in organizing the lunch and to Stu Gulliver who organized the shirt auction. Thank you to everyone who did their bit by donating raffle and auction items and to everyone who bought tickets and who made bids
Finally a massive thank you to our Legendary West End singers Simon, Phil and Josh who all donated their time for free and who absolutely blew the roof off the marquee before and after the game.

I hope this special “Ladies Lunch” charity lunch will now become a permanent fixture in our club calendar.
