The sun always shines on the righteous and so it proved for Weybridge Vandals Minis Chair Aaron Collins as what-could-be his final Autumn Minis Festival at the helm basked in glorious weather on Sunday.
More than 65 teams from Farnham, London Irish, Old Cranleighans, KCS Old Boys and Wimbledon, descended on Desborough Island on Sunday to enjoy festival rugby at its finest.
Despite concerns over parking and pitch markings, the event passed without complication and helped generate thousands for the club coffers as Vandals' Minis acquitted themselves on the pitch with aplomb.

The Braai Boys & Babes and Kate's Burger Van, who generated record revenues between them and were serving three people a minute for an hour at lunch, battled for the title of 'Most Popular Food Outlet on the Island', with the President's Burger and Kate's Chicken Burger & Chips featuring in a live taste test.
The former was rubberstamped as the best on the island with a five-star rating from chief taster Stuart Amos and the London Irish U11s, although Kate's gourmet offering proved popular with many of the younger punters.
"Congratulations Aaron on an amazing day for the club. I have had a shower and a bath and I still smell of Bookers burgers," said rugby chair Mark Baxter after putting in a long shift on the grill.
Parking specialist Ben Santamaria personally parked 360 vehicles on the Owls pitch with the diligent assistance of fellow volunteers Martin Watts, 'Grumpy', Alex Fletcher, Rich Thompson, Sophie O'Connor and a host of others from the Minis Section, helping ensure everyone arrived in the right frame of mind.
Special thanks go to Carolyn O'Leary and her husband Brian for organising our first-class First Aid Tent and also a mention to young baking star Maya and her team for their efforts managing the ever-popular cake stall.
President Kevin Keaney added: "A massive thank you to all the many volunteers who worked so hard to make the Minis Festival such a success.
"I was particularly proud of all the young helpers we had involved. Our game is nothing without volunteers and I'm pleased to report the future is in good hands.
"Congratulations to our fantastic minis chair Aaron, who put his heart and soul into making the day a success."
