Seal of Approval

Weybridge Vandals RFC is proud to announce that it is well on its way to gaining First Year Seal of Approval status from the RFU and is registered as working towards accreditation on the Surrey Active Sports website. The Seal of Approval indicates that a Club follows a set of generic standards laid down by Sport England (formerly the Sports Council) in its Clubmark Accreditation Scheme, which is being followed by an increasing number of governing bodies of sports that provide facilities for younger participants. The Scheme covers a number of specific criteria under the headings:

Duty of Care and Child Protection
The Playing Programme
Sport Equity and Ethics
Club Management

and includes an initial 12 month development plan.

The downloadable documents below covering our Policies, Codes of Conduct, Procedures, Job Descriptions and Forms have been produced as part of our commitment to Seal of Approval. They will act as a reference for the Junior Section to operate efficiently and to follow the guidelines set by Sport England and the RFU for the welfare of young people taking part in sport. They have been prepared using the best information available to us and have been tailored to meet our own requirements but at this stage there is no implication that they are endorsed by either Sport England or the RFU.

As one of the purposes of Seal of Approval is to demonstrate to prospective members and the Community at large that the Club is well managed and follows the guidelines set by Sport England and the RFU, we have taken the decision to be fully transparent and to make all of our documentation available for public view, however, Weybridge Vandals RFC cannot be held responsible for any consequences that may result if they are used elsewhere.
